Censored Searches on Google.cn

Thought this might be of relevance, since we just watched the documentary “Tank Man” at House Church on Wednesday night: a list of search terms that generate results censored for Chinese Google users.  Although I really have a problem with Yahoo handing over identifying information at the whim of the Chinese government, I’m not sure yet how I feel about Google’s censorship.  If Google doesn’t comply, and only those who do are allowed in to China’s Internet users, how does that make things better?  I would almost rather Google do what they did and the Chinese people have access to the riches of the Internet…there’s just no way the Chinese government’s going to be able to shut out everything.

Thoughts?
